House star could be headed back to the small screen...
NBC has Hugh Laurie in talks to star in their new pirate series Crossbones. Deadline reports that Laurie is in talks with the network to play Blackbeard in the ten-episode series, which is set in 1715 on the island of New Providence in the Bahamas which was the first functioning democracy in the Americas. Blackbeard reigns over the nation, which is a land of "thieves, outlaws and miscreant sailors."
The show was created by Neil Cross (Luther) and would be Laurie's return to television following the end of House last season.
