Including Tom Hardy talking about his physical transformation...
Superhero Hype, thanks to MSN and The Sun, has clips from The Dark Knight Rises special features from its upcoming home video release.
In the second clip, Tom Hardy talks about preparing himself to play Bane with training and exercise. He says that he had only six weeks to transform his body, and he gained 30 pounds of muscle with only regular workouts and training.
He said: "I had about six weeks prior to filming where we trained to gain weight.".
He added that it was part of this attempt to make Bane "more menacing" and emphasize his "brutal" fighting style.
Christian Bale also talked about Bane, adding: "Obviously we wanted to make sure that physically we recognize that Bane is superior, and this is the first time that Batman has come across anybody who is superior."
The film will be released on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital Download on December 4.
Here's a synopsis: In the film, it has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.
The film stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Morgan Freeman. It earned $1.080 billion worldwide.
