UPDATED: [VIDEO] Interview Clip Reveals Possible Jaeger Footage From Pacific Rim
Posted by Joseph Lee on 11.23.2012

UPDATED: Guillermo del Toro himself contacted us to let us know that the footage has nothing to do with Pacific Rim. End of story.

ORIGINAL: Shock Till You Drop has posted an interview clip with Guillermo del Toro which may show a look at the giant robot from Pacific Rim, called a "Jaeger". The video comes from special effects group Mrada.

Mirada was co-founded by Del Toro. While this footage may be connected to the film, it may also only be an early FX test. The footage appears at 1:15 of the clip.

The film will be released on July 12, 2013. It stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day and Rinko Kikuchi.
