[Movies] Al Pacino to Star With Robert De Niro in Martin Scorsese Mob Film?
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 11.26.2012

Robert De Niro says that Al Pacino will be joining him in Martin Scorsese's mob drama I Heard You Paint Houses. De Niro told the Guardian that Pacino would be playing Jimmy Hoffa opposite De Niro as Frank Sheeran.

"We've been trying to get it going for a couple of years and now we're just trying to set a time," said De Niro. "It's about a guy called Frank Sheeran who was in the Teamsters and claimed to have killed Jimmy Hoffa. It's based on a book by Charles Brandt who was Sheeran's lawyer. I'd play Frank Sheeran and Pacino would play Hoffa. Joe Pesci would be in it too."

The film's schedule is still uncertain due to Scorsese's busy slate.
