Wolverine will be back...
As was probably expected after yesterday's news that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan had signed on, Hugh Jackman is in talks to bring Wolverine to X-Men: Days of Future Past. THR has confirmed that Jackman is in negotiations to appear in the film, which is the sequel to X-Men: First Class.
James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult are all confirmed to be returning as well, with Bryan Singer directing. The film will be based on the iconic "Days of Future Past" storyline from Uncanny X-Men #141 and 142 in 1981 that say an alternate future develop when the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants kill Senator Robert Kelly, which leads to a future where mutants are hunted down by Sentinels en masse. Wolverine plays a key role in the story, so it is not shocking that he is planned to appear.
