The actors perform the entire show speaking Klingon.
Commedia Beauregard, a Chicago-based non-profit theater company, has announced the return of their seasonal hit, A Klingon Christmas Carol, appearing at Raven Theatre from December 1 - 30, 2012.
Here's a synopsis: Scrooge has no honor, nor any courage. Can three ghosts help him to become the true warrior he ought to be in time to save Tiny Tim from a horrible fate? A Klingon Christmas Carol adapts Dickens' classic tale of ghosts and redemption to reflect the Warrior Code of Honor and is performed in the Original Klingon with English supertitles, and with narrative analysis from the Vulcan Institute of Cultural Anthropology.
This year's production will be directed by Eric Van Tassell. Former cast members will return including Kevin Alves reprising his role of SQuja' (Scrooge), along with Philip Zimmermann, Christina Romano, and Clark Bender.
The opening night will be held tomorrow with a silent auction, Klingon-themed food, door prizes, and live music by Il Troubadore Klingon Music Project. The show will then play Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 1 - 30, 2012 at the Raven Theatre, 6157 N Clark St (at Granville Ave), Chicago, Ill.
