Rick Baker, the Oscar-winning makeup artist who did the aliens in the Mos Eisley Cantina in Star Wars, says he would be up for working on the forthcoming seventh, eighth and ninth films. Baker spoke with THR about his work on the first film, his thoughts on the sequels and more. Check out the highlights:
On his work on Episode VI: A New Hope: "So much of the stuff I did in the first Star Wars was very quickly done. Nobody knew that Star Wars was going to be Star Wars."
On what he'd like to see in Star Wars: Episode VII: "I think the problem that people have with the digital stuff is the problem I have: Just because you can do anything doesn't mean that you should. Instead of having a spaceship battle with three space ships they have 3000 space ships. Everything is so big and there's so much going on, you lose reality. It takes you out of it."
