Three young actresses are currently vying for the lead in Mark Romanek's Cinderella film for Disney. Variety reports that Saoirse Ronan (Hanna), Alicia Vikander (Anna Karenina) and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) are all up for the lead role. Cate Blanchett is in talks to play the stepmother.
The live-action film was written by Chris Weitz and is a new take on the fairy tale.
