More fallout from the fatal accident...
E! Online reports that a stuntman who was injured in an October 2011 explosion on the set of The Expendables which left another man dead is suing the producer of the movie for negligence. The plaintiff claims the sequence wasn't properly set up by those in charge.
Nuo Sun (reportedly a stand-in for Jet Li during the stunt) is seeking damages for the alleged "severe shock and injury. All of which injuries may be permanent and all of which injuries have caused and continue to cause plaintiff great mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering." Defendants named in the lawsuit include Millenium Films, Barney's Christmas Inc., Second Choice Productions International and Second Choice Production Services, who have yet to comment on the situation.
The parents of Kun Liu, the stuntman who died in the explosion, also filed a wrongful death suit against Millenium, Nu Image, and the stunt coordinator for the movie last July. The explosion occurred on the set in Bulgaria.
