[Movies] Alice Eve's Star Trek Into Darkness Character Revealed (SPOILERS)
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 12.10.2012

SHH has new details on Alice Eve's mystery character in Star Trek Into Darkness. The site reports that they spoke with people on the set of the film and are able to reveal that Eve, who appears in the trailer, will play Carol Marcus in the film.

Carol Marcus was played by Bibi Besch in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. In the original timeline, she was a scientist for Federation whose work led to the top-secret "Project Genesis" that provides a major plot point in that film. Carol has a a relationship with James T. Kirk and they had a son together, who she ends up raising alone after they both decide that it is best. No word on how closely the new portrayal will mirror the original storyline.

Star Trek Into Darkness also stars Chris Pine, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Bruce Greenwood, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Benedict Cumberbatch and Peter Weller; it releases on May 17th, 2013.
