When she didn't get one...
Deadline reports that Paramount released an ad for The Guilt Trip that promoted Barbra Streisand's Golden Globe nomination. The only problem is she didn't get a Golden Globe nomination. It seems as though the studio thought she would get one, considering she's been nominated for several Globes for acting, directing and songs. She has even won the lifetime achievement, Cecil B. DeMille Award, in 2000.
Paramount removed the video from Youtube and released the following statement: "Given Barbra's incredible performance in the film, there was certainly every hope in our mind that she would be duly recognized this morning. Like all studios, we create many advertising spots in advance of they key award nomination announcements so we are prepared in the event of a nomination. One such spot was inadvertently posted online and immediately taken down."
The advertisement was a 20-second TV spot that mentioned the nomination, with words appearing on screen to promote it.
