[Gossip] UPDATED: Lindsay Lohan Admits She Needs Professional Help
Posted by AJ Grey on 12.16.2012

UPDATE: Lindsay Lohan's quest to avoid jail continues. TMZ reports that Lindsay has now enlisted the help of her spiritual advisor, asking him as well as friends and family to write letters on her behalf to the judge in her case. Lindsay thinks that the letters will show the judge that jail is not the best option for her.

Lindsay specifically believes that her spiritual advisor, who has been helping her since 2008, will have the most impact as it will vouch that she has gained benefit from counseling in the past.

ORIGINAL: Lindsay Lohan has apparently realized at last that she needs help. TMZ reports that Lindsay is telling her friends that she needs counseling because, while she thought she had turned over a new leaf once her probation was completed, she now realizes she's fallen back into bad habits.

According to sources, Lindsay has been calling her lawyer Shawn Holley in tears, claiming that she has surrounded herself with a bad group of people and had encounters with "opportunists" who have managed to provoke her. She still believes that she doesn't have a drinking or drug problem, though and thinks instead that she should have stuck with counseling. She believes that regular appointments with a counselor or therapist will help her, noting that she has a problem with impulse control.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that counseling is likely her best route to avoid jail. So take this new self-realization with a grain of salt.
