[Movies] Vin Diesel to Star in Big Screen Version of Kojak
Posted by Larry Csonka on 12.17.2012

According to Deadline, Vin Diesel is planning to headline a feature film adaptation of the hit '70's crime show Kojak. Universal is behind the project, and Neal Purvis and Robert Wade (Skyfall) have been brought aboard to provide the screenplay.

Kojak has never been on the big screen before, but there was a short-lived TV reboot back in 2005, which starred Ving Rhames in the Kojak role. The original show, which ran on CBS from 1973 to 1978, starred Telly Savalas as NYPD Detective Lieutenant Theo Kojak, known for his penchant for lollipops and his catchphrase, "Who loves ya baby?"
