Ricky Gervais is in talks to star in the sequel to The Muppets. THR reports that Gervais is in negotiations for a part that is being compared to Jason Segel's role in the first film. How the new character would figure into the story is not yet known.
Gervais would join Ty Burrell in the film; Burrell will play a "lazy interpol inspector." James Bobin is directing the film, which is said to be set in Europe.
