Will we see Nick Fury?
In an interview with Previews World, the head of Marvel TV, Jeph Loeb, revealed that S.H.I.E.L.D. may debut on ABC in the fall of 2013.
He said: "Well...we have a 'little' pilot for television that you might have heard about called Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D. co-written, directed, and Executive Produced by none other than Joss Whedon!. Working with Joss, Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen, Jeffrey Bell on the show is a blast! And bringing in Clark Gregg to play Agent Phil Coulson -- the best! Hopefully we will be on in the Fall of 2013 on ABC!"
Clark Gregg is joined by Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Gemma Simmons, and Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May.
Meanwhile, MTV spoke with Samuel L. Jackson to see if he would appear on the show as Nick Fury.
He said: "I don't know. I keep hearing about it, and I haven't talked to Joss about it. But in my mind, I would tend to think that he would, if nothing else, be like Charlie in 'Charlie's Angels.' At least be the voice!"
Since this post is about Marvel projects, the MTV interview also featured Jackson talking about something he'll definitely be in: Captain America - The Winter Soldier.
He added: "It's a full-on role, from the original script that I read. It's a full-on S.H.I.E.L.D. operation in 'Captain America', but I don't know — I'm meeting with the directors this week to see what happens.
