Amalgamated Designs recently released a slideshow on their YouTube channel which features some different concept pieces for The Blob in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Regarding the changes for the character, Amalgamated Designs stated: "The challenge of taking Blob off the comic page and putting him in front of the camera was developing a look that was massive, but powerful. The script required him to be huge from overeating so it couldn't all be muscle. And it had to work as a practical effect that actor Kevin Durand could bring to life."
