[TV] Ratings: X Factor Season 2 Finale Down From Season 1, But Up From Last Week

Enough for FOX to win...
Last night's season two finale of The X Factor had its highest overall audience and 18-49 demographic ratings since early October, but they were down from last season. The show brought in 9.65 million viewers and a 3.1 rating in the demographic. It was enough to get FOX the win for the night, even though the most-watched show was a rerun of The Big Bang Theory.
In the final half-hour of X Factor, it came close to matching Big Bang with 10.8 million, especially without much competition from the other networks. Last season, the finale earned a 3.8 in the demographic. Earlier this week, the season 3 finale of The Voice was the highest rated and most watched yet. FOX has renewed the show, but there will likely be more changes after L.A. Reid announced he would be leaving.
FOX won the night with 9.65 million and a 5.6 rating/9 share in households. It was followed by CBS (8.7 million, 5.4/9), ABC (6.6 million, 4.7/7), NBC (4.9 million, 3.2/5) and The CW (930,000, 0.6/1).
In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX won again with a 3.1 rating, followed by CBS (1.9), ABC (1.4), NBC (1.1) and the CW (0.3).
