- Director James Gunn has posted on Facebook (which he later removed) that the rumors out there, regarding the casting for Guardians of the Galaxy is false. While he later deleted the post, geektyrant.com caught the post, which stated the following…
"Almost everything in that Variety article on the Guardians of the Galaxy casting (and all the following articles based on it) was/is completely inaccurate. Just for the record."
The article in question stated that Zachary Levi (Chuck) and Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas) were the two frontrunners for the lead role of Peter Quill (aka Star Lord).
