Robert Zemeckis has revealed that his planned remake of Yellow Submarine is dead. Zemeckis spoke with Total Film and said that the project, which would have seen Cary Elwes, Dean Lennox Kelly, Peter Serafinowicz and Adam Campbell portray the Beatles, will not be on his agenda. Disney dropped the planned film last year, leaving it free to be shopped around.
"That would've been a great one, to bring the Beatles back to life," Zemeckis said.. "But it's probably better not to be remade - you're always behind the eight-ball when you do a remake."
