[Movies] Skyfall Crosses $1 Billion Worldwide

Bond film reaches a rare milestone...
Skyfall has crossed the prestigious $1 billion mark in worldwide grosses. The film brought in $4.6 million at the box office this weekend, bringing its domestic total to $289.6 million which joins with the $710.6 million it has made overseas to total $1.0002 billion in worldwide grosses. That makes Skyfall the third film from 2012 to cross the mark, along with The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises, and the fourteenth to ever do so.
The film currently sits behind The Dark Knight for the #13 worlwide spot of all-time, with just $4.4 million separating them.
