Movieline reports that the Christian Slater-starring horror film Playback is the lowest-grossing film of 2012, as it only earned $264.00 in theaters.
It only played for one week in a single theater. It earned $252 on opening night and then only $12 more the next week. It was then pulled and went to VOD through Netflix and Amazon Prime.
