Who could be up for the role?
CBM reports that they've learned the names of three actors rumored to have been looked at for the role of Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy by director James Gunn.
According to the source, Isaiah Mustafa, Brian Patrick Wade, and Dave Bautista are all being looked at for the role of Drax. Dave Bautista most recently had a featured role in Man With the Iron Fists, Mustafa is best known as the guy in the Old Spice commercials, and Wade appeared in The Guardian in 2006.
In the comics, Drax was an average human male who went by the name of Arthur Douglas. His family was murdered by Thanos. A being named Kronos took the soul of Douglas an dplaced it in a body to challenge and destroy Thanos.
The source also claims that Marvel is also looking at actor John Krasinski for the role of Peter Quill/Star-Lord. Though many names have been bounced around for that role as of late.
