[TV] Sarah Michelle Gellar Set to Star in New Sitcom About Motherhood
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 01.06.2013

TV Line reports that Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to star in a new half-hour comedy set for next fall.

The series which is currently untitled is being developed by 20th Century Fox TV (home of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and is said to chronicle the hijinks parents get into when their kids are not home. Gellar is reported to be playing a wife and mother.

Gellar's last TV show, Ringer on The CW was cancelled. She became interested in the new project after reading the Shepard Boucher-penned spec script. The project is going to be shopped to major networks in the coming weeks. David Hemingson and Margaret Riley are attached as executive producers.
