Man of Steel star could take on the big monster...
It's Superman vs. Godzilla time, ladies and gentlemen. Variety reporter Justin Kroll has reported via Twitter that Henry Cavill (Man of Steel is one of the people who are up for the lead role in Legendary Pictures' Godzilla reboot.
Kroll adds that Scoot McNairy (Argo), and Caleb Landry Jones (X-Men: First Class) are also in the running, noting, "JGL and Cavill are studio choices, Scoot and Caleb are creative choices." Joseph Gordon-Levitt ended up passing on the role. The film will shoot in Vancouver and Hawaii and is targeting a May 16, 2014 release date.
