Brad Pitt is circling the lead role in a film based on the life of Pontius Pilate. Deadline reports that the film, about the Roman prefect who authorized the crucifixion of Jesus, is set up at Warner Bros. The script was written by Vera Blasi and reportedly takes a humanist look at the religious figure; it is said to be mostly based in historical fact, detailing Pilate's life up until the decision.
