[TV] Ratings: The Bachelor And Deception Have Soft Openings Against BCS

ABC wins the night...
It was a softer night for the networks as ESPN hosted a BCS title game, but ABC managed to pull through with the premiere of The Bachelor. The debut was off from last year. NBC's new drama Deception also had a soft premiere, it led the hour in the demographic, but only with a 2.0 rating. The Biggest Loser dropped from its Sunday premiere but was the top show in the demographic.
ABC won with 7.4 million viewers and a 5.0 rating/7 share in households in primetime. It was followed by NBC (6.1 million, 3.9/6), CBS (5.4 million, 3.7/5), FOX (3.8 million, 2.4/3) and the CW (937,000, 0.6/1).
In the adults 18-49 demographic, NBC won with a 2.2, followed by ABC (2.1), CBS (1.4), FOX (0.9) and the CW (0.4).
