Tina Fey is in talks to star in a sequel to The Muppets, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
She would join the other human stars Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell in a European-set adventure. The script is being kept secret. Burrell is playing a lazy Interpol inspector, while it's believed Fey would play a Russian gulag prison guard. James Bobin, who directed the 2011 film, will return to direct this one. He co-wrote the screenplay with Nicholas Stoller. Producers Dave Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are also back. It will shoot in London this month.
Fey's last film was 2010's Date Night. She next stars with Paul Rudd in the comedy Admission. She previously worked with Gervais in 2009's The Invention of Lying, which he starred, co-wrote and co-directed.
