[TV] Jimmy Kimmel Live Beats Leno And Letterman In First Night At 11:35 PM
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.09.2013

Zap2It reports that Jimmy Kimmel's first night at 11:35 PM managed to defeat both The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman in the ratings.

Kimmel's show featured Jennifer Aniston giving him a haircut (and smashing his desk with a sledgehammer) and a performance from No Doubt. It had a 2.8 rating/8 share in the 56 metered markets. This beat Letterman's 2.7/7 and Leno's 2.4/6. Kimmel's show also had the best rating in the adults 18-49 demographic in the 25 markets where that's measured.

ABC heavily promoted Kimmel's move to the time slot.
