Christopher Nolan is in talks to direct a new science fiction project. THR reports that Nolan is in talks for Interstellar, which he would direct and produce. The script was written by Nolan's brother Jonathan, who worked on the scripts for The Dark Knight Rises, The Dark Knight and The Prestige.
Stephen Spielberg was originally set to direct it but obviously that is no longer the case. The project is based on the scientific theories of Caltech theoretical physicist and astrophysicist Kip Thorne and sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole; it is said to involve time travel and alternate dimensions. The deal has reportedly been in negotiations for months and is "very complex."
