Dreamworks Pictures has released a new behind-the-scenes special of Lincoln called An American Journey. It debuted on Apple iTunes and will air on CBS at 9 AM PT on Sunday.
So far Lincoln has earned $150 million since its release on November 9 and has had more award nominations than any other movie this year, including 12 Academy Award nominations. It was directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by both Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy. It stars Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field.
The special details just how the film was made after twelve years in development.
Here's a synopsis of the movie: "Lincoln is a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President's tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come."
