[Gossip] Tom Cruise Falls Victim to Swatting Prank

Police swarmed his home after a false 911 call...
Tom Cruise's Beverly Hills home was host to a swatting prank today. TMZ reports that police swarmed the house after a 911 call was placed claiming that there was an armed intruder on the property. After police rolled up on the house, they found nothing. Cruise was not home at the time.
The prank is the latest in a series of "swatting" pranks (named for the SWAT teams that are sometimes called in celebrity cases) that havce gone down lately. A twelve year-old was arrested for committing swatting pranks against Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber. The pranks end up costing the city quite a bit of money in resources for the response teams.
