But Big Bang Theory was a rerun...
The Big Bang Theory has been bringing in huge ratings lately, but it's unknown if it can still do that now that American Idol has returned. Last night provided no answers, since Big Bang was a rerun while Idol was brand new. As a result, FOX had a huge win for the night.
FOX won with 16.2 million viewers and a 9.2 rating/14 share in households. It was followed by CBS (8.98 million, 5.7/9), ABC (7.2 million, 4.8/8), NBC (3.89 million, 2.5/4) and The CW (2.03 million, 1.3/2).
In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX won again with a 5.6, followed by ABC (2.2), CBS (1.9), NBC (1.5) and the CW (0.9).
