Shock Till You Drop reports that Jessica De Gouw has been cast as the female lead for NBC's Dracula. She was recently on The CW's Arrow as The Huntress. She will star with Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors), who plays the titular Count.
Here's a synopsis: Dracula (Meyers) arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier but falls hopelessly in love with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.
Dan Knauf is serving as showrunner. There is no word on when the series will air.
