Coming Soon has a video interview with Danny Trejo about the new film Death Race 3: Inferno, which will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand January 22.
It is a sequel to Paul W.S. Anderson's Death Race, which was a remake of Roger Corman's Death Race 2000. It stars Trejo, Luke Goss, Tanit Phoenix, Fred Koehler, Robin Shou, Ving Rhames and Dougray Scott. It is directed by Roel Reiné, who also helmed Death Race 2.
Here's a synopsis: Inferno finds Carl "Frankenstein" Lucas (Goss) with just one race left to go before he earns his freedom. He soon learns, however, that the first-ever desert course will take him straight through South Africa's Kalahari Desert and will pit him against some of the deadliest racers he's ever faced.
Trejo plays Goldberg, reprising his role from Death Race 2.
