MTV spoke with Robert Rodriguez about Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, and he revealed that Bruce Willis will return as Hartigan for the sequel.
While celebrating the 20th anniversary of El Mariachi at Sundance, he said: "Bruce is back, you'll be seeing him.
He also talked about several other topics related to the film, and you can see highlights below:
On Joseph Gordon-Levitt's role: "[He plays] a very cocky gambler who comes in and tries to beat the biggest villain in Sin City at his own game [in a story called "The Long, Bad Night"]. You have to start with someone very likable so that you're like, 'No! Not him, not him.'
On who Juno Temple, Jeremy Piven and Ray Liotta will play: "There are some characters from the book [in the mix]. Fans will be surprised."
On what has been shot: "The only story we've shot out [completely] is one of the intro [stories]. That's completely done. [We're shooting] bits and pieces, as actors become available."
On casting Ava Lord: "We have some choices in mind, but we haven't finalized the casting. She doesn't shoot for a couple of weeks."
