Shock Till You Drop reports that The Orphanage remake is still in the works. Referencing a report on Screen Daily about Rodar Y Rodar,
The film was once set to be directed by Larry Fessenden (Wendigo).
The report reads: "With an estimate budget of $13-16m, the company is working on new international versions of The Uninvited Guest (original by Guillem Morales in 2004), horror film The Orphanage from JA Bayona, Julias Eye's (Guillem Morales, 2010) and The Boyd (Oriol Paulo, 2012)."
Here's a synopsis of the original film: A woman brings her family back to her childhood home, where she opens an orphanage for handicapped children. Before long, her son starts to communicate with an invisible new friend.
