[Movies] Secret Character Revealed in Star Trek: Into Darkness Prequel Comic (POTENTIAL SPOILERS)

SuperHeroHype some spoilers and an image for the prequel comic miniseries for the new Star Trek movie entitled Countdown to Darkness. The first issue is now available and reveals a surprising character appearance in the form of Captain Robert April. April was originally intended to be the name of the Enterprise's captain, though it was switched out for Christopher Pike (played by Bruce Greenwood in 2009's reboot film). April later appeared in the animated Star Trek episode titled "The Counter-Clock Incident"; series canon generally accepts that he is the first captain of the Enterprise.

It is possible that April will appear in the film, potentially with Benedict Cumberbatch playing a younger version and/or clone of the character; another possibility is that Peter Weller's unnamed role is that of April. The panel in which April appears is below:
