[Gossip] Lindsay Lohan's Lawyer Has Never Met His Sponsor

TMZ reports that Lindsay Lohan's new lawyer has never met or spoken to the lawyer who is sponsoring him to represent her in a California criminal court.
New York attorney Mark Heller filed legal documents for permission to appear in a California court for Lohan's lying to police case, where he is not licensed to practice law. He has to get a California lawyer to sponsor him to get permission. Heller chose a lawyer that has been an inactive member of the State Bar for 17 years named Lindsay Berger Sacks. She became an active member last week, days before he filed the paperwork.
Berger Sacks says she has never contacted Heller once. She adds that she has never practiced law a day in her life. She was contacted by an attorney who worked with Heller in the past, Peter Toumbekis, who has been friends with her since Jr. High. She thought she was sponsoring Toumbekis, not Heller. Toumbekis didn't sign the paperwork to appear in the case and Berger Sacks signed the same paperwork with Heller's name on it.
Her husband says that she signed it because Toumbekis is working for Heller's law firm, which was named in the paperwork. He will also appear at the hearing next week.
