[TV] HBO Renews Girls For Third Season

Coming Soon reports that HBO has renewed Girls for a third season of 12 episodes. The first two seasons (the second premiered this month) had ten episodes each.
The series was created by and stars Lena Dunham (Tiny Furniture) and looks at four girls in their early 20s. It recently received two Golden Globes for Best Television Series (Comedy or Musical) and Best Performance by an Actress in A TV series (Comedy or Musical) (Dunhaum). In September, it won an Emmy for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series.
The series stars Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Adam Driver and Alex Karpovsky. Dunham is also an executive producer with Judd Apatow, Jenni Konner, Ilene S. Landress and Bruce Eric Kaplan.
