[Movies] Toby Jones Is Looking Forward to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 01.27.2013
He's looking forward to working with the new director...
Toby Jones thinks that the latest installment of The Hunger Games will do well even with its director change. As previously reported, Francis Lawrence is taking over the franchise for Catching Fire and Jones told BANG Showbiz (via NME) that he will bring something new to the table.
"I would say that it's got a different director with different sensibility," said Jones. "I think he'll want to bring his own mark to it. It's clichéd, but you want to respect the books that have been very successful but bring it on a bit."
He also noted that he's a big fan of Jennifer Lawrence, saying, "I was at the Golden Globes and I watched her get her award for Silver Linings Playbook. I worked with her on a film called Serena that's coming out this year. She is remarkable. It's not that she's uber-confident, or uber-flashy or arrogant, she's just an incredibly straightforward person. All of these red carpet events may seem natural for you journalists, but it doesn't feel natural for actors. She handles it all with such an ease. She has some of that on screen. I'm a huge admirer of her."
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters in November.
