Superhero Hype reports that Esurance, one of the sponsors of 2009's Star Trek are offering fans an exclusive look at the new Star Trek Into Darkness.
These benefits include:
- A behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film on the Esurance Facebook page.
- The "Embrace the Darkness Sweepstakes", in which one winner and a guest will go to the US premiere of the film and $2,500 in travel expenses.
- "The Vulcanizer", a program that allows fans to upload and share photos of themselves "transformed" into Vulcans.
- Downloads: Exclusive content including wallpapers, icons and movie posters to download and share.
The film stars John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller. It will be released in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D on May 17.
Here's a synopsis: In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth. In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.
