Jeffrey Reiner (Awake) will direct NBC's pilot for The Sixth Gun, which is based on the Oni Press graphic novel. The series will be written by Ryan Condal and produced by both Carlton Cuse and Uni TV.
It's a supernatural western that follows the story of six mythical guns with special powers.
Renner has worked with NBC and Uni TV in the past. He was the director/executive producer for Friday Night Lights and directed pilots for Trauma, The Event and Jason Katims' County.
He also directed the pilot for David E. Kelley's Wonder Woman in 2011.
