Valiant Entertainment has hired Stephen Susco to write their adaptation of Harbinger. Variety reports that the comic book adaptation, which was being developed at Paramount until underlying rights issues following the Fox/WB lawsuit over Watchmen have the studio second thoughts, will be written as a possible directing vehicle for Brett Ratner.
Ratner and Susco were attached to the film when Paramount had control;. The comib book series focused on Harbingers, humans with powers that can be unlocked by "omega" harbingers. Teenager Pete Stanchek finds himself on a collision course with an older "omega" who used his gifts to become an evil industrialist.
