Kevin Pollak has joined the cast of CBS' Beverly Hills Cop pilot, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The series will focus on Axel Foley's (Eddie Murphy) son Aaron (Brandon T. Jackson), who is also a police officer trying to escape his father's shadow. Murphy will reprise his role of Axel if the pilot goes to series.
Pollak will play Rodney Daloof, the in-house lawyer for the Beverly Hills Police Department. He's described as "incredibly risk-averse, a stickler for the rules and a loud-mouthed bully."
The series is described as an hour-long crime procedural with comedic elements. Shawn Ryan (The Shield) will write the pilot's script and executive-produce with his MiddKid Productions partner Marney Hochman and Murphy.
