[Movies] The Cast Of The Avengers To Present At The Oscars
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.06.2013

Superhero Hype reports that The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo will present together at the Academy Awards. Show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron made the announcement today. The only team members not announced were Chris Hemsworth and Scarlett Johansson.

Zadan and Meron said: "We are happy to re-unite the 'Avengers' cast to present on our show. Audiences who enjoyed the year's biggest box office hit will be excited to see these terrific actors back together again."

Downey has been nominated for an Oscar twice for his lead role in Chaplin (1992) and his supporting role in Tropic Thunder (2008). Evans will make his first Oscar appearance, but can be seen in the upcoming film The Iceman. Jackson was nominated in 1994 for his supporting role in Pulp Fiction and appears in this year's Best Picture nominee Django Unchained.

Renner was nominated for his lead role in The Hurt Locker (2009) and his supporting role in The Town (2010). Ruffalo was nominated in 2010 for his supporting role in The Kids Are All Right.

The ceremony will be hosted by Seth MacFarlane and will air on Sunday, February 24 at the Dolby Theater at the Hollywood & Highland Center. It will air on ABC, broadcast to over 225 countries worldwide.
