J.J. Abrams and Gabe Newell revealed at today's DICE summit that they are looking to team up for new films and games moving forward. IGN reports that the two spoke about storytelling across platofrms and the difference in storytelling on film vs. video games, after which they revealed that they were hoping to team up for a new game Abrams has an idea for, as well as potential films for Half-Life and Portal.
As to precisely what sort collaboration we'll see from them and when is up in the air, especially with Abrams' now-heavy plate. More on this as it becomes available.
