[Movies] Matt Smith Set to Star in How to Catch a Monster for Director Ryan Gosling

A new fantasy adventure story...
Variety reports that Matt Smith of Doctor Who fame has been cast as the lead in How to Catch a Monster, the directorial debut for Ryan Gosling. Smith will star opposite Christina Hendricks and Eva Mendes for the fantasy adventure.
The movie is reported to be set against a surreal dreamscape of a vanishing city. Billy, a single mother of two, is swept into a macabre and dark fantasy underworld while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwather town. Both Billy and Bones have to solve a mystery if their family is to survive.
Marc Platt and Adam Siegel are producing the movie for Marc Platt Productions along with Ryan Gosling via his Phantasma Films banner. Michael Litvak and David Lancaster are producing as well under the Bold Films banner.
