Coming Soon reports that IM Global and Anthem have announced Tom Hardy (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises) will star in the film Locke, which will be written and directed by Steven Knight (Hummingbird). It will be produced by Paul Webster, Joe Wright and Guy Heeley's Shoebox Films.
It's based on an original screenplay by Knight (Eastern Promises, Dirty Pretty Things).
Here's a synopsis: Locke is the story of one man's life unraveling in a tension-fuelled ninety minute race against time. Ivan Locke has the perfect family, his dream job, and tomorrow should be the crowning moment of his career. But one phone call will force him to make a decision that will put it all on the line.
The film will begin production in London, England later this month. Paul Webster and Guy Heeley will produce. IM Global, Shoebox and Knight previously worked on Hummingbird, which will be released by Lionsgate later this year.
Paul Webster said: "Tom Hardy and Steve Knight are two of the most exciting talents working today so Guy and I are really excited to be able team up with them and our friends at IM Global on this unique project."
