Starring Alec Baldwin and Patrick Wilson...
Myran Pictures announced today that they are in talks with Academy Award winner Stefan Ruzowitsky to direct the noir mystery thriller Caught Stealing with Patrick Wilson and Alec Baldwin set to star. The movie was written by David Hayter from the novel of the same name by Charlie Huston.
The book is the first in the Henry Thompson trilogy which also includes Six Bad Things and A Dangerous Man.
Wilson is set to play Hank Thompson, a hotshot high school baseball prospect, who gets some bad luck and ends up becoming a bartender. He gets mistakenly caught up in a bloody treasure hunt throughout New York City. A cat left in Hank's care is the key to finding the treasure, and a sadistic cop (Baldwin), Russian mobsters, a Samoan hit man, and a pair of psychotic brothers are after it as well.
Lost Rhino Films' Marcus Chait and James Carpinello will produce the movie alongside Wilson. Paula Wagner will executive produce the project with Myriad's Kirk D'Amico.
