Dracula 3D star to play a "dangerous" version of the hunter...
Thomas Kretschmann is set to play Van Helsing in NBC's Dracula TV series. THR reports that Kretschmann, who played the Count himself in Dario Argento's Dracula 3D, will play a version of Van Helsin that "is not the classic hero featured in so many retellings. Here, he's a brilliant professor with a cool exterior who is obsessed with revenge and makes him more of a threat to the public than to Dracula."
The series is set in the late-1800s and will star Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Dracula and Jessica De Gouw as Mina. The series debuts this fall.
